HOI PO INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD. (former name of HOI PO ALUMINIUM INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD.) is pleased to participate the newly launched Parking Meter (Environmental Protective) Project. On June 28, 2003, the Transportation Department of Hong Kong declared that the new Octopus card parking meter (casing with aluminium extrusions) will be applied to replace the old parking meter from June 29, 2003. HOI PO is pleased to supply the aluminium extrusions of this project. The new parking meter casing is produced with our 1800 Ton extruding press, the size of the casing is around 185 x 125mm. The most advantage of the Octopus card parking meter is that it can operate with recycling Octopus card, which can replace the unrecoverable parking cards (arround 200k pieces per month of parking card were in past).

On July 31, 2003, HOI PO was awarded a second-year Partners in Performance award for 2002 by Celestica, a world leader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS).
